deterioration.
Leather is one material that is susceptible to oxidation. This explains
why it tends to crack or break with age. Initial signs of damage
include dryness and hardness of the surface. In addition, the
ultraviolet rays in sunlight, ozone and other forms of pollutants have
damaging effects to the material. These factors tend to cause a
plethora of reactions, leading to cracks and decays. The harsh
chemicals brought by the pollutants promote premature leather damage.
Without proper treatment, the leather can easily spoil.

is by keeping it from getting any irreparable stain. One way of doing
that is by spraying your leather belt with water of high-quality and
stain repellent before you ever wear it for the very first time. Spray
on the solution to your belt every 3 months. To help retain the nice
shape and texture of your belt, avoid wearing that same belt each day
or it will eventually conform to your hip shape.
Basic leather belt maintenance calls for regular application of
lubricants. Treat it with saddle soap or a neat's foot oil or any other
leather conditioner. After application, allow the solution to settle on
the leather and leave it to dry at room temperature. Now, if it
happened that your belt caught some dirt, leave the debris to dry first
then try to gently brush or dust it off. With accidental spills, try
blotting the stains first. Use a soft cloth. Allow your belt to dry at
room temperature, not on direct sunlight. If the dirt left stains,
check your belt's manufacturer instructions for cleaning
recommendations. Avoid using turpentine, paint thinner, degreaser or
gasoline and other traditional home cleaning solutions for these harsh
chemicals might cause your leather to break down or weaken. There are
specially formulated cleaning solutions that are made specifically for
leather care.

their expert cleaners to attend to your leather care problems. Bear in
mind that leather care, if done the wrong way, can cause further damage
to your belt.

ironing it under a piece of brown paper that is very heavy You can use
your grocery bag that is paper, put it over your wrinkled leather belt
and allow a cool iron to pass over the wrinkled area. Avoid heating the
leather too much for it might leave an unnatural shine.
