The NBA has some surprise
teams this year. The Indiana Pacers is one example of a team that
appeared to have come out of nowhere. One year they are a playoff
contender and the next few years, they seem to be less of a threat to
any of their opponents, even with the very talented Jermaine
O’Neil.
Indiana
Pacers products sold, but not just with Jermaine’s
name on them as most people would have expected. Jamaal
Tinsley’s jersey sold too. It’s very surprising to
me that they are undefeated this year.
In addition, the
Los
Angeles Clippers have won their first three games of the
year. I think we have to wait until the teams have played about twenty
games before we can get an accurate picture of how things will possibly
turn out. The same thing is with all sports. After a fourth of the
season is over, you can pretty much tell which teams are for real and
which ones are a joke. People knew that the Detroit Pistons would be a
threat, as they usually are.
So far, they have lived up to people’s expectations. The city
of Detroit loves their Pistons. Two years ago, they showed their love
by wearing the big air fro, just like Ben Wallace used to wear his
hair. The
Detroit
Pistons merchandise is selling at a fast pace. The average
NBA player would probably list the Palace of Auburn Hills as one most
feared places to play at. They are a good example of what a
home court advantage is. One reason is their fans are loud, which
influences the outcome of many of the games played there. The addition
of Chris Webber has proved to be a good move, as his Detroit Pistons
jersey outsold his teammates last year
