Its hard to imagine a snowman taking part in a snowfight, but folks in these parts swear it really happened on the day of the Big Game! A fresh snowfall had the whole town outside building snowmen youngsters and senior citizens alike. Now, the two teams had many loyal fans in town, and before long, snowmen appeared in team colors, logos and even carrying pennants that fluttered in the breeze. In the park, two opposing groups of fans not only dressed their snowmen in team attire, but they deliberately had them facing one another. A few good-natured jibes were exchanged, and no one knows who threw the first snowball, but it hit the mayor so hard that his hat flew off! That did it! Soon snow was flying in all directions Pow! Plop! Splat! One of the children noticed first and shouted, The Snowmen are throwing snowballs! For a brief moment, the action paused, but not before the snowmen threw a final round at each other! Then it was over. The snowmen stood just as before in team colors and not a snowflake out of place! Did it really happen Whos to say it didnt!
