Welcome Home Santa Ornament-OklahomaSanta stands beside the mailbox on a snow covered day welcoming home his favorite fan. This nostalgic ornament is ablaze with team logo and colors, richly sculpted and beautifully hand painted with authenticity. Sixth in the series. Two fans walked to the stadium parking lot, one was smiling broadly; the other looked rather deflated. Though friends, each was loyal to the opposing team, so it was inevitable that moods would not be exactly the same! They did agree on one thing: the Holidays were coming, and it was time to set aside the game and concentrate on a visit from Santa. The fans were also neighbors. As they drove down the lane, each saw a figure standing at the curb by his house. It looked like Santa, were they imagining things The fans looked and blinked and stared in disbelief! There stood Santa with outstretched arms, and each Santa was wearing team colors for the fan's team! How could this be For it was clear that no one else could see the Santa except the fans! Welcome home, said each Santa. Have a wonderful, winning Christmas for one and all! In a flash they were gone, but atop each mailbox was a beautiful little Santa figurine, each with outstretched arms and dressed in team colors. The fans looked at each other, smiled and almost in unison said, Merry Christmas, friend!

OKLAHOMA, HAIL!
the Alma Mater song of the University of Oklahoma is less familiar than the exciting, time-honored Boomer Sooner or the more recent O.U. Chant which have been sung at home games and elsewhere for many years. Our Alma Mater song has fallen into disuse. The beautiful Alma Mater tune continued to ring out from the belltower at the student union every day at Noon to delight the students and faculty alike. The tune is a Welch air, commonly sung as Men of Harlech. This version can be heard in the 1964 English movie Zulu starring Michael Caine. However, by the 1970s, the full words and music of the Alma Mater could only be heard in the upstairs jukebox at the old Across The Street tavern. A collegiate chorus and orchestra had made a record of our Alma Mater, and a copy had somehow strayed just off campus. Calling around campus recently, no one seemed to remember that we had an Alma Mater. Finally, The Pride of Oklahoma band receptionist referred the caller to the Music Library. The Music Library was ready, willing and able to supply the sheet music for our venerable Alma Mater, OKLAHOMA, HAIL! without hesitation. Bless 'em!
