Two fans walked to the stadium parking lot ? one wassmiling broadly; the other looked rather deflated. Though friends, each was loyal to the opposing team, so it was inevitable that moods would not be exactly the same! They did agree on one thing: the Holidays were coming, and it was time to set aside the game and concentrate on a visit from Santa. The fans were also neighbors. As they drove down the lane, each saw a figure standing at the curb by his house. It looked like Santa ? were they imagining things? The fans looked and blinked and stared in disbelief! There stood Santa with outstretched arms ? and each Santa was wearing team colors for the fan?s team! How could this be? For it was clear that no one else could see the Santa except the fans! ?Welcome home,? said each Santa. ?Have a wonderful, winning Christmas for one and all!? In a flash they were gone, but atop each mailbox was a beautiful little Santa figurine ? each with outstretched arms and dressed in team colors. The fans looked at each other, smiled and almost in unison said, ?Merry Christmas, friend!?
