College football is getting
more intriguing as the weeks go on. People
come to some of the games with
South Carolina Gamecock merchandise and
the
Georgia
Bulldogs gear. Don't get me started with tailgating but
Mississippi
State Bulldogs tailgating goes on for many, many hours
before the game. I know this is a shocker to some people who are not
familiar with the SEC. The Bulldogs have played some good football. Now
whom the bowl eligible teams will play is entirely a different story. I
must say that I am glad that I live in the area of the country where
the best conference in football is located- The SEC!!! There is no
conference that comes close to the overall talent and wins that the SEC
has. Most of the losses that SEC teams have are when they play each
other in conference play. I think that’s good when sometimes
you have
to factor in the fact that somebody has to win each and every game. I
know it was a shock when the Auburn Tigers beat the
Florida
Gators at
home. It was a hard and even-matched game, except Auburn won in the
category that matters most--- and that’s points on the
scoreboard. In
that game, Auburn beat Florida by a reasonable margin. It
doesn’t
matter if you lose by a point or by twenty. A loss is still a loss. A
win is still a win. The SEC also boasts the biggest attendance each
year for the last five years. When eleven of the twelve SEC teams are
bowl eligible, then that should raise some eyebrows about maybe this
conference is the one to beat. I can see most of the teams in
the SEC
making a run in the last few weeks of college football because
that’s
just how good the teams are. Well, all of them except the
Ole
Miss
Rebels.
